Stock stereo , Adding a sub
I really don't know much about stereos but I was looking through a few threads here. What would I have to do to install a sub in the stock position in the Z. Right now I just have the stock single cd. I'm not looking for window smashing sound , Just a better sound. Would I have to buy an amp or is the stock set up good enough to drive the extra speaker?
You could buy the Infinity BassLink, I think someone on this forum has it installed and loved it!

Hugo, I have not heard much success from anyone installing an aftermarket sub in the stock position. The dimensions of the cavity are just too large to create good base. For this reason, and because I wanted to keep things simple, I opted to install one of these. http://www.justkenwood.co.uk/speakers01/kscwa82rc.asp
It sounds great with the Eclipse 6.5" coaxes that I installed in all 4 stock positions, and I decided not to replace the factory head unit because it sounds fine to me. Actually, I don't think that I have ever heard a more balanced sound from a car stereo. Plenty of tight base and sparkling highs (just make sure to disconnect the stock tweeters if you install coaxes
) Good luck with your decision.
Oh yea, I installed the Sub just in front of the rear tower brace and just behind the rear speaker hump. I mounted it left to right with the port facing the passenger side. Hope this helps.

I wonder how the Basslink sounds. It would be a good choice and if it fits in the space behind where the Bose Sub is, that would be great.
