This is what works on my 05 which does not have the cup holder in the door panel

I recommend starting with a blanket or towel on the ground in line with where the door panel would rest if you had to set it down to manuerver. If on pavement or gravel and you don't have a towel or something soft to set it on, you can nick / tear up the vinyl along the bottom of the panel.

Driver's side:
Wrap a flat blade in electical tape and pop off the little trim piece by the inside door release.

Remove the bolt that is seated back in behind there. I had to use an extension on my wratchet.

In the drivers's side door switch console, in the little depressed box area, use the flat blade to pop off the rubber cap and remove the screw underneath

You can now pull up and forward on the driver's side control panel, it should just snap loose and then disconnect the two electrical connectors and set it aside.

Remove the two bolts revealed when you pull off the control panel. They are along the bottom edge of of that area.

I found that starting from the bottom of the door is easier when pulling the panel off. Pull the door panel firmly (but gently if that makes sense) out and then work up either side until all the snaps have come out.

Lift up the door panel to just clear the top of the panel off of the door and then bring it down a bit and let it lean back onto your torso. If the panel seems stuck, I worked it back and forth a bit from the bottom to free things up along the top edge which is where it seemed to be stuck.

With the panel resting against your torso, reach over the top to the inside of the panel and disconnect the door handle and lock cables. If you look at each cable and jiggle it around a bit, you will see how each one locks into place and from that you can figure out how to pull them out.

Set the door panel off to the side.

Check for any snaps still stuck in the door, remove them and put them into the proper place on the door panel.

Passenger Side:
Using the flat tip with electrcial tape, Pop the trim piece from the door release handle and remove the bolt

Pop the silver trim piece off of the passenger side grip. Be careful not to scratch the silver trim piece, it's expensive ($35) to replace. I found the lower rear corner easiest to work with.

Remove the two bolts that hold the handle in place

Pull / snap the handle out (again, firm but gentle)
The control console for the door should snap out by pulling forward and up.

Disconnect the power connector from underneath

Pull the door panel off starting at the bottom and working up the sides

Lift the door panel free of the door and rest it against your torso

Disconnect the door handle and lock cables.

This is how I took mine off.

1. Pull the door handle inside, as if you're opening the door, from inside. Behind it, is a screw, that needs to be removed with a phillips screwdriver. Suggest using a magnetic driver so you don't drop the screw inside the door.

2. Pry up the handle, where the window and door lock buttons are. There aren't any screws so just gently pry it up. Doesn't take much effort. I found it easier to pry it up, from the inside of the handle, cause mine wasn't seated all the way to begin with. Unplug the 2 wire connectors attached to the bottom of the handle. Set that aside.

3. Where the handle was, there are 2 10mm bolts there. Remove those.

4. Go all the way around the outer edge of the door panel, giving it a gentle tug, about every 6 inches. should pop out about 1 inch. The only thing holding the panel at this point, are just snap connectors. Once the panel is popped, all around, lift it up, cause it's resting on the top edge, by the window, and out. Behind the door panel, is another wire connector. A small gray one. Unplug this, run the 2 wire connectors, that you unplugged already, through the opening they're coming through, and you're free.

5. DONE
