On a recent insurance quote (still waiting for my car to be delivered!), the agent told me that if there was an audible alarm in the 350Z's security system, that would lower my rate.

Could anyone tell me if the standard security system comes with an audible alarm?

If not, how does it work? (Special key, armed guard riding shotgun....?)

Also, if I opted for the relocator service with the VIN # etched on the windows, that would also lower the insurance rate. Any opinions on this?

Actually, it does. The factory security system will honk the horn if the door is opened without the key or a signal from the remote control after it is armed. I have personally tested this, and it does work.
