Default Anyone w/ side curtain airbags!

I know a lot of people don't seem to have these, and honestly I wish I had a different $500+ option, but you take what you can get. My question is for anyone who has these and has run audio wire or radar install through the headliner.. Can this be done? I just bought a V1 and plan on installing it on the rear hatch and planned on running the wire through headliner and down the windshield pillar, but is this going to be possible? I am afraid I won't be able to do it with those airbags there, and I don't want to accidently set them off either! Any help would be great, thanks!

I thought theses airbags were in the sides of the seats?

You could also run it down the side panel and under the door trim. Might be easier IMO.

True, if I can get it fed down by the B pillar, I can probably run under the door trim, since I have to go down toward the fuse box anyway. I may have to try that out, just have to get a longer cord from the radar. thanks!

If you've got the Autodimming Rearview mirror, you don't need to run the wire down the pillar! Simply remove the plug from behind the mirror and tap into the switched pair of wires going to the mirror.

I did it Sunday and it works like a champ.

Sounds like he's installing it in the rear hatch area....and is wanting to run the wire from the rear to the fuse box.

Must be one of those remote units.

You won't have any problems running down the pillars with side air bags. I've done it in my own Z and there's plenty of room around the air bags. Once you pull off the pillar cover you'll see what i mean.

Yes, I have a V1 w/ the remote unit. So I basically need to run the wire from the rear hatch, down to the NAV compartment where the remote display will be. I was worried if I pulled the pillar cover off, the airbags might go off.
