Default Help Installing Infiniti Kappas In Front Now****

I'm installing my kappas in the front now. The new speakers have a box with 4 wires. Those attach to the new speaker and the 2 open wires attach to the wire from the door correct? Which is pos and which is neg? with white strip or without? Please advise.

if your concerned about +/- , read the manual that came with them

if not take my advice that it doesnt matter just so long as you have all the speakers wired the same. there isnt really +/- on a speaker

if you want a technical explaination ill give it to you

Technicially there is a difference. The speaker will move out with one polarity and will move in you reverse the polarity.

The difference is pronounced when you try to drive speakers very hard. I believe they prefer the speakers to drive outwards instead of inward to keep them from bottoming out. I'm not exactly sure.

But like you siad, we shall not get extremely technical.

some high end audio tuners i have talked to will actually use oscillascopes and measure the phase difference at the point of listening. and adjust the speaker polarity accordingly.

in many cases, they may reverse the polarity of only one speaker to get the waves lined up. so you may have the right wired one way and the left wired the other way to achieve the best harmony
