Thumbs down Max cruise-control speed not enough!

Is there a way to increse the cruise-control speed to beyond it's limit (145km/h or 90mph)?

coz at some highways 90mph isn't enough

You sure the rules are the same in CO as in TX? Here 20 over is wreckless automatically. In MD there is no speed that can land you in jail and wreckless cannot be based on speed alone. I'd do some research into each state's traffic law before I go racing through it.

I hate this also, i was driving back from up north when i bought the car and sometimes it is an empty road, i had the cruise control on 91(digital readout) almost the entire time. Anywho, that is why i would want to set it higher, road trip on an open road...why not?

What is not too safe about setting the cruise control at 90+ if i plan on doing 90+ for an extended distance? I would think that it is just as safe as setting it at 50.

I agree on not using CC over a certain speed. Things can go wrong a lot faster at 90 than 50 mph.

Yeah, i have never set it except on the very empty lanes of i-35 in between cities on my way down from Minneapolis to Texas. But there was really nothing out there, i would pass a group of a few cars every 5 or so minutes.

80-85 mph is the fastest you can safely drive with cruise-control. The problem is reaction time. While running with cruise-control, it takes much longer to react since you are not lifting-off the gas pedal.

All the cars i owned had 120mph+ cc. Why the Z is ristricted to 90 only?

I took my car to UAE last year and there was an open highway with a speed limit of 100 mph!!

Even when you go to Germany, they have the famous Auto Bahn (no speed ristriction highway). Imagine driving you Z there at 90mph and get overtaken by a Fiat doing 95 :S

Question is, can it be done or not? lets leave the road laws aside

We live in a very litigious society (and that goes Globally). It doesn't matter what the speed limit is; it's only how safely you can drive with the available equipment/devices. Notice the Z's top speed is governed to the speed rating of the tires Nissan delivers on the car.

I'm sure you can "hack" the cc's controls to deliver any speed you want. I doubt that anyone has done this since past 85 mph, you really need to be "driving" the car to be safe.

Wow - you can always count on the community to pull a topic right off topic.
So is there a way to raise the speed control or isn't there?

Yes there is a way to do this... But posting it on a public Forum isn't wise.
