Default Zenclosure Properties..

Hey,

I'm concerned/curious about the following topics about this product.

1. What is the weight of the box? (single-sub)
2. The connector for the speaker cable to the amp, is it on the left or right?
3. If we get a flat tire, can this thing be moved easily?
4. You guys that have this box, has your car felt sluggish?
5. I'n kinda thinking it might assist with winter driving? (Basically need an excuse to purchase)

I hope you guys can give me some feedback on this product, I am thinking of purchasing soon. Thanks in advance to all!

A.E.S.S.,,,,I can help somewhat.....I have the dual 10 sub,,,so not sure the weight difference,,but,,My connector for the speakers to the amp is located on the left side(drivers side).

My enclosure fits snug, but can be removed very easy,,,just sides out.

As for my car feeling sluggish,,,I couldn't tell a difference. Although, I am running simple Alpine subs,,,no monster subs, or anything really heavy.

I am sorry I cannot be of more help,,,but maybe this will answer some questions you might have. Good luck and post pics when you purchase and install.

the single sub box will probably weigh more figuring it is the same diameter yet missing 1 sub hole cut out therefore containing a little more wood. A noticeable difference? most likely not.

I took my spare tire out along with the jack, so honestly the sluggish part came hand and hand when adding the box and taking out the spare tire. Probably broke even. Daily driving sluggishness? Definatly not, 300 hp doesn't bog down over a 100lbs like a 4 cyclinder would.

Honestly, i forgot where my speaker connectors are, but i beleive they are on the side.

Z isn't good in the snow from what i hear, i doubt a speaker box will help you as much as lets say better tires, but hell whatever you need to convince yourself.

My Z enclosures box has started to slide a little (after over a year) but always less than 1" from being flush and I am sure I could eaisly fix it if I tried. As the other guys said its real easy to remove if you need to and so long as you dont let the speakers wires touch you wont have any problems. I dont know the weight but I doubt it plays a major role in performance or that it would help in the winter.

The under strut box weighs right around 22Lbs. I can place the terminal on either side of the box.....no problem at all. The box slides in and out with ease so if you ever have to change a tire thats not an issue.
I've never noticed the box weighing the car down enough to be sluggish......

If you have any other questions feel free to give me a call anytime at 941-914-0859.

Thanks Mike

Got my Zenclosure in the mail yesterday. Very impressive quality! Mike, tried to call you a few times since its arrival to say "thank you" but you have not answered. I'll try you again tomorrow in case you miss this.

For $190 shipped, a box with 2 10" holes and an amp rack, nothing beats it.

Many thanks to all including you Mike, I will be order this soon. I will probably opt for the single 10" set-up; with a couple of 100 watts along with amped comps. Once again thanks to all, Oh! And by the way my interest in using this for added weight during winter time, Im gettin some snow tires & with the Zenclosure I can pass this purchase as necessary & practical

I normally fabricate my own enclosures but have been really short on time lately. Especially since I took a looooonnnnngg time installing my Pioneer D-3, all my highs, all the wiring etc. So I decided to try Zenclosures based on everyone's feedback.

I was extremely pleased. It was a tight fit, which means no moving, only took us space under the strut, and the box sounded better than I thought. I never have used a box without a divider between the subs. But, my Rockford 10" P3s hit hard in there!!!! I am very pleased with the purchase and you saved me about a week or so of my life. Thanks Mike!
