Knows anybody if its possible to change the 2004 BOSE (Clarion) headunit to a 2007 BOSE (Clarion) MP3 headunit. What does a new headunit cost and knows anybody the part number?

 

It would not work due to a slightly different interior center stack trim: it would not physically fit.

 

Yes, the only way to fit it would be to buy the entire center dash trim. And then you will of course need the OEM Bose amps as well; basically rewire the entire car, which isn't worth it in the least.

 

Does anyone know if the Bose HU off 06~07's use the same plug as the bose HU from 03~05 Z's

I heard that the unit itself is a little bigger but has anyone tried to trim the HU or panel to make it fit?

Folks I put an Bose mp3 unit off an 06 Z into a 2003 Z; very minor mods needed; (shaving tabs and grinding to fit) but all plug and play in the back
