Default Malfunctioning Power Outlet

I was wondering if anyone might be able to steer me in the right direction regarding my power outlet. It was working fine and something happened to make it not work at all. I did check the fuses and I found that the fuse powering the power outlet had burnt out, which I had replaced with the spare that was included in the fusebox. I thought this would do the trick, but it still is not working. BTW, I tried plugging in two good phone chargers and a Sirius radio plug into the power outlet, so I am thinking that the issue is somewhere between the fuse and the power outlet within my car. If anyone can give me an idea as to solve this issue, I'd appreciate it.

You said "the fuse powering the power outlet had burnt out." You also mention replacing the fuse, but things still aren't working? Did the replacement fuse also fail?

I took out the fuse and it seemed to be alright, although maybe I could replace it as well. Is there a possiblity of something in the power outlet having come loose or a secondary fuse or something?

I don't believe there is any secondary fuse.

Since the first fuse blew, there must have been some type of overload. The fuse should have protected the outlet from damage unless the fuse was the wrong size. Sounds like the second fuse is OK, but you should test with another fuse just in case. If that doesn't work, the outlet must be damaged.

Do you know if that is something costly to replace in the case that it (the outlet) is damaged?

^^ The part(s) are inexpensive (probably the least costly part on the Z). The problem is diagnosis. If it's broken, why? It's best to know this before taking the trouble to install a new one.

I tested the fuse today by replacing it and the new fuse blew as well. I think the problem is something in the system that is shorting or something. Any ideas as to what it might be since the problem is now reoccuring?

^^ Most likely it a bad ground. Look at the most recent project you did. That's probably where things are going wrong.
