it took about 7 hours and full trunk kit of dynomat $65. after that all you are paying for is the sub and amp and wiring. i had all on hand allready and did the install myself so that part was free for me. most shops round here charge 50-75 to install and wire an amp. i used a jl10w6v2 fits in perfectly and was able to use the stock mounting plate with no modifications except drilling new holes to mount the sub and lining the ring with dynomat.

you have to seal the whole area behind the stock subwoofer with the dynomat creating false walls with it so you are basically making a seeled enclosure for the sub out of the dynomat. i wrapped the stock bose pannel with leather after cutting out the middle so the sub would not contact it and have full range of motion. it works really well, does not rattle and sounds great. not competion ready but clean, tight, and loud enough for me.
