My front passenger has been acting a bit retarded for the past month or so.
Normally the speaker has no mid or bass, only treble.
Sometimes when I take a hard corner, the speaker will kick on and become normal. Once this happens the speaker sounds fine. Once I turn off the car and turn it back on, it sounds like crap again.
The sound system is completely stock (2003 non-bose) except for a JVC HU.
This HU has been changed more then a year ago, so I'm pretty sure it isn't the problem.
I'm going to break it down soon and try to find the problem.
My guess is that its a loose wire somewhere.
I'm not sure if I'll take the door apart first or the center console to get to the HU.
Anyone familiar with this kind of problem?
Any suggestions as to which side to check first?
Thanks for reading and let me know if I forgot any important details out

1. Remove door panel. You can find a tutorial in the Technical Forum
2. Remove three 10mm screws holding speaker in. Disconnect harness.
3. Proceed to nearest dumpster.
4. Seperate quarter sized magnet with a screwdriver and stick to your fridge.
5. Throw the rest in the trash.
6. Repeat Steps 1-5 for the other side.
7. Proceed to your local Best Buy and purchase a cheap set of Pioneers. They will sound better.
Hope this helps
