Hey guys,
I am looking at purchasing Kenwood DDX6019 as my next HU. My question is whether or not I need a dash kit to fit the unit in place of the stock one? I've seen some pics of DDX6019 where people seem to have it installed with some kind of plastic trim around it to make it fit?

So..do I need to purchase a DD kit with the HU? If so, which one works well? Any help is much appreciated.

 

The trim you see is the dash kit. You will need this dash kit to complete the install.

 

Note: He had to cut the divider for the trim kit.

 

I'm not sure about the 03-05 kits, but the 06-up kit comes with a mount for a single din and an additional trim ring for the double din (which you shouldn't have to cut).

But you can definately see where the guy from that thread had to cut the center divider.

 

Thanks guys. I just took a quick look on Crutchfield.com and they have the install kit for the 03 that comes with the single and dual din trim. I will have to cut the divider off which is not s big deal. From the reviews, seems like the kit matches and interior color very well and the fitment is excellent. Thanks for all the help guys.
