Default An idea.

I've got an '06 Enthusiast with no factory navigation, and I'm putting money into a sound system that I'm doing myself (I'm a car audio dealer). However, I'd really like for everything to retain its stock appearance. So, in light of that, I was looking at the '07 Z and I absolutely love its factory navigation that doesn't flip up or anything. I could easily turn that into my head unit (given that it's essentially the same navigation unit as the previous models). Does anyone know just about how much it'd cost to buy the center dash assembly from the '07 with the nav? I'm guessing it's expensive. Maybe someone with that package on the forums can help me out and we can organize a trade for some aftermarket equipment? Thanks.

to be honest man its not easy at all to get the stock nav. in the z if you even can. If i were you call up west covina nissan and get the 06 or 07 nave dash only. Get a screen and the kenwood navigation brain and use it to make it look very stock but it will also have better nav. capabilities for around 700 bucks. Thats what i would do though. Good luck if you try the nav hope you can get it to work.

If you are asking if it is practical to install Nissan’s OEM navigation device into a car that does not have this, the answer is no.

Forgive me for not elaborating further. I'm not looking to install its navigation; in fact, when using an OEM Integration interface, the factory navigation functionality is scrapped. All I need to do is install the screen and the console, which are one piece. Shouldn't be very difficult... I wouldn't manifest an idea like this if I didn't have some clue as to what I was doing. The only problem is getting my hands on one.
