polyfil help please
hi guys, just went to walmart and picked up some polyfil for the zenclosure box i just bought. but i was reading around the forums and found alot of people put polyfil in their boxes, but all in different ways. i read some people stapled it to the walls or glued it, and some just threw it in there. i just want to know if it matters or is there a best way in doing it. thanks.
Little dots of glue... oh and make sure you listen a lot to the sound before it... and then after.. I hit a few situations where the polyfil just made the sound worse (in this case less low bass).
You really need to know "WHY" you would add polyfill. Polyfill is added to slow down the wavelengths to make the sub 'think' it's in a larger enclosure.
Things to consider:
-What is the optimal recommended enclosure size for the sub
-What is the cu ft of the enclosure being used
I usually use staples but dots of glue would work. you just don't want it loose in there as stated by Paul350Z already.
