Default Do 06 or 07 Z's play MP3's?

I have an 05 roadster and it doesn't play cd's with MP3's do the 06 or 07 stock head units play cd's with MP3's?

Also I assume it's a simple swap from an 05 stock head unit to an 06 or 07 am I correct or is there a size & wire config difference?

thanks

06 Touring with Bose plays MP3s. However, I do not believe it will be a simple swap to change decks.

Correct, you can't swap a non-Bose HU with a Bose HU.

Also, you will have fittment issues with the 06-07 headunit going into an 05. The dash design changed on the 06 and up.

Very frustrating, isn't it... I like the stock look, and really wish you didn't need to have the Bose or upgrade to aftermarket to play mp3. Ah well.. it'll be fun to install the new unit along with the PAC steering wheel adapter. Not sure if I have seen a write up on it yet.

And more importantly, you can't put either type of '06+ HU in the 03-05; the former is wider and taller than older years.

I have the original bose 05, but if it the 06 doesn't fit then I'm **** out of luck I guess. I much prefer the stock look.

Thanks guys!
