Weak radio signal FM AM ?

Default Weak radio signal FM AM ?

After installing a new headunit has anyone wlse had a weaker than stock radio signal? I was just wondering if this was common or not. BTW the unit was a Avic - Z1

i had that problem with my avic D3. supposed to connect two blue wires or something. i think i connected the wrong ones because it's still weak.

You have to hook up the blue "power antenna" wire from the headunit to the adapter harness. Even though the Z does not have a power retracting antenna it DOES have a powered signal booster that gets it's 12v signal from the power antenna lead.

with pioneer double dins
you will get weak signal unless I THINK , I SAID I THINK
you'll need to conect the blue wire and the blue wire with white stripe

also there is a funtion to program relating to am fm reception to activate
thru touch screen

+1 when i installed my kenwood 7100 my blue wire came disconnected when i was moveing wires around and reception went to ****.

i connected the 2 wires but still have weak signal.. messed around with some of the radio antenna settings in the menu but still didn't work.

is there another blue wire that i was supposed to connect to?
