Default Help Me build my system

So heres the deal go to Bestbuy.com pick out some gear for me. Why best buy, I have a connection that works there, and I get everything at cost(about 60% off on most stuff). All I need is a head unit/amp/subs. And my final question is, how hard would it be to build such a box(and will it sound decent in such a box).

Before you get , more info is needed...

Headunit:
What features do you need/want?

Amp:
Is it going to power just a sub? Are you getting components for the front? Are you going to have rear fill? Where will it be mounted?

Sub:
What kind of bass do you like? What kind of music do you like? Do you want 1 or 2 subs? Do you want 10's or 12's?

Enclosure:
Are you good with fiberglass? Are you good with cabinet making? Are you willing to pay for a custom enclosure built by a shop? Are you flexible on design where you can settle for a design that is already on the market?

Discount:
Are you willing to extend your discount to help out your fellow forum members?

-I prob getting a double din "Avic D3" cant decide, I really dont need the screen size, but It would def. look better than a single din (even witha dash kit)
-Just for the sub
-prob do it on my own.
-sry no, I get it threw my friend, which is hard enough.

As far as price point, I'd like to keep everything below 400"or less"(not including head unit). Another question I thought I'd ask is should I replace my speakers?

Well from experience with FG, unless you have all the matirials sitting around, you will eat up at least $200 just getting supplies (glass, resin, cups, mask, and whatnot). Wood boxes are far less expensive to buy or build. Not that I want to discourage you, it can be quite rewarding finishing something like that, it is just not as cheep as it seems it should be.

As for the rest of the components, I am not up on all the latest gear so I can't say one way or another.

I dont know much about decks or amps but for placement i would have to say ZENclosures are the best bet for placing your amp and maybe a capacitor because you can purchase an amp rack for it. The amp mounts right in the back of your sub.

A sealed MDF wood box is gonna be best for this. You will get a cleaner and tighter sound, as opposed to FG and ported boxes which fill alot and can get dirty with rock, but sound great for rap and such.

ZENclosures does indeed have a very nice looking sealed box which would sound and look great. Only thing is, they are chillin up in ur windows, like.. Hey! Steal me!
