I love my d3......I can't wait to get a backup camera installed.

 

I'm not sure if I should buy it locally now or off some website like cartronixplus

 

The one benefit to buying locally is if you know anyone at an auto shop personally, usually they will help you much better if you ever need the unit serviced. Other than that you're getting the exact same product.

 

so is this unit ipod ready? Just plug it up and your set? Or do you have to buy more modules?

 

i just ordered one as well brand new tonight. Damn, i need to stop wasting my force induction money. Every year around Christmas time, i always buy electronics. I hate myself. Better be worth it.

 

it will be, the ipod interface in itself makes it worth it. You do have to buy an ipod cable for like $25 - CD-i200

 

thanks for the heads up. Yeah, i'm trying to buy all the things i need before install.

 

this is my head unit and I swear by it. with the backup camera and the ipod connection add on, this unit is tough to beat. plus pioneer has to me the best features for the money (at decent quality) in head units.

 

so i just bought that Pioneer i200 cord. Anything else should be bought with this unit?

 

Dumb question, but does this unit have an aux in located in the back.

and does the ipod interface work with the ipod touch

Will the ipod feature still work while in the MAP mode for NAVI?

So i can still atleast listen to music when its on navi
