Default New Rearview Camera! (Pics)

So I changed the setup a bit. Best part is, the camera I replaced will become one of my gifts to my sis. What do you think?

I had the same type of Camerson on my car as well but in FL it's against the law to alter your Tag so I had to remove it for risk getting my car impounded and a ticket.

But on a lighter note the Install looks clean!

Thanks. I am slightly concerned about getting flack for cutting the tag but don't forsee it being an issue.

I think a cop would have to be having one hell of a day to mess with you because you cut your tag unless you were doing something stupid already

The picture quality is great. I will post a screen shot tomorrow. No better than the old one - here is a screen shot of it:

Keith, how come it looks like only half the LEDs are on in one of those pics? How is the night video?

I've considered a backup camera, but don't want to alter anything in the back of the car...

They don't really care all that much up in NFL.

It switches back and forth depending on the light exposure...or so it appears. I believe it has an adaptive sensor. So far I have only looked at it parked in my garage and the picture was clear, but there was some glare around the edges that I think will likely go away in other lighting situations.

If you don't want to alter the back, consider something like my previous setup. The picture on it was great all the time, with the exception of condensation on the lens after driving for a while.

I had been considering switching to this type of camera for a while, but I committed to buy one after I saw your setup. Bravo

On my camera? Box says PLCM22IR - I'll check the box tomorrow for a PN. I paid a few extra bucks because it has a name brand (altough it is Pyle ) wheras the others on ebay had no name brand and only included the camera unit and not the install accessories, but I think all the cameras are comparable and multiple brands sell duplicates of 4-5 main styles.

This would be great while driving. You can also check out the chick behind you in traffic.

thanks. yeah, that is yours. It's the only model from pyle with the LEDs. Usually i don't buy the brand "PYLE" but it seems like a good buy and is water proof. Just what i need.

Yeah or for my road rage ***, see who you are flicking off. I have it hooked up to the reverse sensor now, so I may connect the reverse sensor to a default ground with a switch so I can change to the camera while not in reverse.

Yeah, I'm hoping that 'waterproof' means it won't get condensation inside the lens like my other one

Clean install. Looks good!

Does the camera have an auto image-reverse (mirror) function or is your HU reversing it? I tried to read the box but didn't see the function listed.

The LEDs allow for night vision...this way, the image is clear and I'll be able to see any obstructions in your path. I'll snap some pics of the screen tonight after dark and post them, so you can see what I mean
