The manual says to turn on the radio before connecting the ipod but it doesn't say anything about disconnecting it. Do you need to turn off the radio before disconnecting the ipod?? Will simply turning off the key damage the ipod??

 

No, I leave my Video Ipod connected to it 24/7...start and stop the car w/ it connected...I've also d/c'd it while car is running and ipod playing. Nothing bad has come of it. Had it installed for about 4 months now...
