Default USA SPEC PA11-NIS / ipod doesn't want to play at times

When I unplug my ipod from the unit then plug it back in, the ipod will start playing when I press "play", just like it should, however the sound won't always come thru the speakers. I have to turn the ipod on and off or unplug it and replug it in, sometimes several times before I get audio.

It seems like this would be a connection issue however the harness from the PA11 is always connected securely.

If I leave the ipod plugged in and turn off the car, it will always play fine when I turn the car back on. It's just when I actually unplug the ipod from the PA11 then plug it back in that I'm having a problem.

Anyone else have this problem??

I've had similar issues.
Turn the radio off, then back on and have it in the CD changer position (I assume that's how you're using it.) Then plug in the iPod. I should read "CD eject" for awhile then should be OK.
I have most of my problems in extreme temperatures. That could be the iPod's problem more than anything
