Default Locx ?

im trying to put in an amp with stock deck so i got a high low converter, i spliced the wires into the rear speaker wires and hooked up the rca cable and the amp wont turn on what am i missing. i need help

HMM more info would help but make sure u have remote on wire, power wire, and ground hooked up right. Also check fuses.

how do i hook up the remot wire i asked the guy if i needed the REM wire and he said no

Yes,,,sound like the remote wire is missing. You will need that wire connected for everything to power up.

some LOC has a remote wire output....but some don't. just grab a 12v source (cig lighter) and tap it from there and BAM! remote wire.

that would mean your amp's turn on everytime you turn the car on.. not when you turn the radio on

now the sub is morking but hardly any bass comes out

actually the cig lighter socket turns on when you put it on ACC so you can still listen to the radio with subs...but it's not recommended as it would drain the battery. if you got a high amp amplifier it's better to turn on the engine.

OMG thats exactly what i said.. and no.. your amp should always come on with your radio.. not your ignition

alright for the soundgate...open up the cover and there should be plug thing that either set it for the sub setting or the mid speaker setting. make sure the plug is in the sub setting. this will fix your problem 100% and you'll be happy.

Get your year's FSM. Look in the audio section, and tap the remote power. Now the amp will only turn on when your stereo is on.
Nobody here knows what they're talking about.
