potential problem with kicker 6 1/2"s
hey guys, for christmas i got some kicker 6 1/2" speakers and i installedthem with no problems atall. thefront ones are mounted exactly where the old ones were in the doors but nowfor some odd reason when you roll down the passenger window it rolls down all the way except for about an inch before it sounds like it's hitting something and stops. because it's factory sizespeaker mounted in the factory location i wouldnt think there would be a problem. the driver's side works no problem.
any ideas what the issue could be ? when i re-installedthe door panels everything went fine and im clueless

1) use the OE speaker as your spacer. There might be a DIY on how to do this, but the short version is to remove the speaker from the plastic housing, mount the OE plastic housing to the door, then mount your new speaker to the plastic housing.
2) use the OE plastic housing as a template on some 3/4" MDF and use that as your spacer.
3) Purchase premade spacers. They are cheap and if you aren't handy and/or don't have the tools to make your own, they are a viable option.
