Hey guys, i just got the best buy 12" box, but it didn't fit
so i was wondering what box will fit one singe 12" type R sub for the
back of my Z

I was looking at http://www.tccustomz.com/inc/sdetail/94
but i'm not sure if it will work.

Alpine Type R 12" Sub wants:
Mounting depth 7 5/8"
Sealed volume 0.57 - 1.0 cu. ft.
Cutout 10 13/16
Displacement around 0.07 cu. ft. (my guess)

The Box offers:
Mounting depth 9"
Sealed volume 1.2 cu. ft.
Cutout 11.125"

So based on this info, I would suggest calling the maker of the box and ask if they can make the cutout 10 13/16". Other than that, it should work fine. The volume of the box is a hair big, but it shouldn't impact the sound much at all since you are going to be sealed. Worst case is to fill in 0.2 cu. ft. with some chunks of wood and some liquid nails.
