question about future setup

question about future setup
-I have a few questions about the setup I'm planning for my '03 Z. Here's what I've been looking at as far as a audio/video system.
The JVC AVX2 and the JVC AX3 both have what Im looking for but the AVX33 has bluetooth and usb which is great for my mp3 players, whereas the AVX2 is about $100 cheaper. I am fine with either but not sure which one would work with the rest of the setup Im planning.
-With that I was looking at the 7" farenheit T-7000mhr or the 7001mhr, the only difference i've seen is the 2 inputs for the 7001 as opposed to 1 for the 7000. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the 7001 would probably make more sense as I plan to add a navi system later on. But one major problem I've noticed is difficulty in finding the 7001, I see the 7000 every once in a while on the forums and of course on websites selling it but where is the 7001? Or was it replaced by another screen?
-For the navigation setup I was looking at the Garmin GVN 53, my only question about this would be if it works with touch screen, I know the GVN 52 does not, as it says on their website, but theres nothing that says the GVN 53 does or doesn't. I know it comes with a remote but if it worked with the touchscreen that would be awesome, if it doesn't I might as well look into to GVN 52 but seeing as how its discontinued and no one seems to be selling theirs I probably have a better chance with picking up the 53.
-The big question I have is will this all work together? And if anybody has this set up already in their car any tips would be appreciated greatly.
-Just to recap I'm trying to find out if the JVC AVX2/AVX3 with a 7" Farenheit 7000mhr and the Garmin GVN 52 setup will work together, considering the 7000mhr works with the Garmin and the JVC, if not then that set up with the 7001mhr and where I can find the 7001mhr or equivalent.
-I know thats a lot but this has been itching me for weeks and in my forum searches it seems like only one or two parts of this setup have been used, or maybe my searching abilites need more fine tuning.
-As far as installation I have a good friend who works the car audio installation at circuit city that will help me install everything so that'll help smooth the most difficult part out.
Pre emptive thanks for any input. And sorry for the long post, figured it would be easier to ask all at once then to post a bunch of questions seperately.

mwahahaha! That'll teach ya!
I tried to sum up the 'wall of text' best I could. Now that one is out of the way, any bits of advice for the setup.

Some answers:
1) I would go with the JVC KD-AVX33. Both H/Us you mention are expensive. Since you are looking for flexibility connecting various components, that justifies the slightly higher cost of the AVX33.
2) I wouldn’t use the Farenheit T-7001MHR. It’s built more cheaply than the 7000MHR, doesn’t have a decent back plate (it uses a cheap plastic headrest shroud as its back plate), has a very confusing remote control, and its colors are too saturated. There’s no advantage having the 7001MHR’s dual video control since the H/U you are considering can do that. In fact the 7001MHR’s dual video is a disadvantage since you use a remote that you wouldn’t need otherwise (and it‘s a pain digging for remotes). I used the remote control to do my initial setting on my single video input LCD screen, and have never touched the remote after this. Actually, I have a 7001MHR sitting in its box… unused.
3) Just like the GVN 52, the GVN 53 uses a RF remote control and does not support touch screen function. The differences between the two devices is the GVN 53 provides simultaneous output of RGB and NTSC composite video, and it has an improved GPS receiver. If you can find a GVN 52 at a reduced price, it’s a good buy in your case since you do not need RGB video (the JVC uses composite video)
Additional information:
The setup you ask about will certainly work. In fact it’s pretty darn good. Obviously you have spent time researching this.
Don’t worry about controlling video input and output. The JVC H/U you mention handles several devices. Actually, there is no limit since you can install a physical A/B switch, or an A/B/C switch, or even multiple switches to add even more devices.
You don’t need (probably do not want) the Farenheit T-7001MHR. The Farenheit T-7000MHR is a better screen.
If you have trouble locating a Farenheit the following 7” LCD screens are identical:
Farenheit T-7000MHR
Power Acoustik PT-700MHR
NESA Vision NSM-7005
Looks as though you are on the way to a good and interesting CES.

thanks spike, now all i gotta do is buy everything and put it in. can't wait!
If you have a moment I have a couple more questions. One question im wondering about, you said the avx33 has the flexibilty to connecting various components, doest that mean the avx2 cannot connect to that setup with the screen and garmin box?
I only ask because I found the avx2 on ebay some guy is selling with a few scratches on the faceplate for less than $200 and all the avx33 i see are about $400.
Im probably wrong about this but could I connect the garmin to the h/u then output to the screen, I haven't been able to find the jvc h/u where I live to test out and see what it can do, sorry for asking so many questions.

Using the JVC KD-AVX2, you would connect the Garmin GVN 5x (52 or 53) to the DVD input (there is video in as well as right and left audio, in fact you can even connect 5.1 audio). There is also a video out feature in both the AVX2 and the AVX33 that allows you to send the video to a 7” LCD mounted in your Z’s upper/forward cubby.
I mentioned the AVX33 only because it has a dedicated navigation input that would leave the device’s DVD input free if you ever wanted to add another video device. More than this, using the dedicated navigation input in the AVX33 allows (I assume) to playing your radio or a CD while navigating and still hear the voice guidance from your Garmin GVN 5x. I’m not sure if the AVX2 supports this feature (auto-muting radio or CD for voice guidance from a navigation device).
Note: Even if the AVX2 doesn’t support this feature (auto-muting) you can still get this by using an after-market add-on (PAC Audio Source Switcher is an example).
