I just installed my AVIC-D3 tonight and it was a little of a *****. But she sure does look good in there. I replaced my P5700DVD that I sold yesterday.

 

I get **** for radio reception any one know why. PM for some tips thanks guys, but the OP looks good to me.

 

do you have the factory antenna or a shorty?

 

just got my D3 today also, looks good except the dash kit. where did you get it from?

 

Mobil 1 carries the metra kits that everybody uses.

I have the stock antenna, it sucks.

 

I have the polished shorty and it sucks too.

 

I just fit the trim ring around the inside and it looks great. I had to do some trimming with some tabs along the inside, but it worked fine.

 

did anyone install the vehicle speed sensor (VSS)wire also, or did everyone only put the antenna in? I put my d3 in like 2 months ago, but never put the antenna in. I hate the way it looks but im gunna put the antenna under the center console like others did.
