hello Z gang, man i been trying to locate me atleast one headunit that would fit in my O6 Z, as every store says that o6 and 07 models have a 1.5 din size instead of perffect double din. so now im forced to go with the flip up, but i would greatly preffer the in dash DVD screen. So any of you 06-07 Z model owners had any luck finding a unit to replace the stock set up??? let me know as im dying to buy one!! thanks in advance!!

i dont believe what people are telling you is correct. I already know and have seen 2 members with 06 and 07Z's that have Pioneer Avic D2's which if i'm correct are double dins.

i have the kendwood 7100 and i assume any double din will work. just get the metra finishing kit (its 06 specific, dont get the ones for the earlier models) and just use the bracket that holds the stock headunit.

it will fit perfectly.

My input? Find another shop because the people at that one are either:

1) Stupid
2) Lazy
3) Crooks

Take your pick. None of them are good.

The dash opening is standard double din and an easily available trim kit makes it look like stock. Anyone that tells you different is a nimrod.

I have the Alpine IVA W-200 doubledin in my 06. Fits, no problem. All you need is the Metra dash kit and Metra wire harness. I would stick to the information source here instead of who ever told such nonsense.

pretty sure its crooks. Any audio shop can look at it and instantly say *double din*

they just want to make a quick buck by saying *custom work*

hahaha wow well i was sure it was double din as i did alot of research and thats why i was in stores looking to buy one, but i went to the major stores as Best Buy, Circut DUMBASS city, and few electronical stores and heard same thing from every single one of them =/ ... so decided to go home and ask the PRO's on my350z .... =D you guys are BIGGEST HELP!!! thank you!

i want that Kenwood dx 8019 i think... or the 8000 serious and there is a member selling one from his G35, but he never replies as i been waiting over 2 weeks to send the payment... =/ .... but any one knows where and who has a GOOD deals online with a GOOD Indash DVD players? hahah i think its ALL of the above!!! and like i told the employee that i did my research and that that Kenwood 7100 would fit, or suppose to and he said that forums are filled with BS and no ones knows nothing unless you're an employee of that store!! HAHAHA i just told him That ill never come back to this store cause you don know S*** hahaha he just said suite urself ... lol
