Default Rainbow, Zapco, or Hertz?

I got to listen to a nice pair or Rainbow component speakers today at a shop. I forgot what model number it was. All i know that it was $350 but he said he would sell it to me for $280 plus tax. I'll try to get the model number.

I also saw this and it looked pretty interesting for the price.

I always loved Zapco amps. For 180, seem like I can't go wrong.

And the shop also had this brand called "Hertz". First time i've seen this brand. Looked very classy, sounded really good as well.

I'm pretty torn apart which one i really want to get. My buddy keeps telling me to not waste money and get some Focal ones for 160 dollars.

Any opinions?

The pair i heard was pretty nice. It sounded good, looked classy. It said "handmade in germany" in the back of the speaker. I'm pretty sold on it. It's pretty classy. I was afraid they won't sound good in the z, since those speakers were in their demo vehicle. It probably had good sound deadening materials in it unlike my z.

Would you say the reliabilty on rainbows are good?

Hertz and Rainbows are both very nice. I never heard Zapco comps, but I'm thinking how bad could they be? They look sweet. For the price, I'd give them a shot.

As for where Rainbows are handmade.....I do believe they are made in Germany. Unfortunately the lost on Solen doesn't show Rainbows.

thanks for the comments guy. I was almost going to get the hertz, but the owner of the shop gave me a great deal on the Profi line on the Rainbow that i couldn't pass up. Picked this up early this morning before heading to work.

Pods or kicks is always recommended for the best sound. The door location of the stock speakers leaves a LOT to be desired.

hmm, that sucks. More money needs to be spent yet again. I have no experience with pods. The ones i want are the one that goes on the door, but then i read where you need to drill holes in the door panel which i'm not fond of. The other pods where it goes by your foot, i'm afraid i would step on it since i have a manual and always use the dead pedal.

Do i have any other choices besides that?

There are always choices....how extreme do you want to go?

In all seriousness, I hear from several that have Bing's kicks that you get used to no dead pedal after a week or so. Other than that, yes Nazar's pods need to be screwed to the door panel.
