NEW KENWOOD DNX8120 EXCELON DOUBLE DIN 5.1 RCA 5V PREOUTS (Wicked CAS)
I finished installing it this morning. I couldn't believe how many wires there was. I wasn't even able to add the video cables. I added the steering wheel controls and the iPod adapter. I worked on it from 4 yesterday until 11 at night and woke up early and worked from 8 am to 10:30 am. I haven't been able to read the manual yet but I am really liking the Bluetooth features of the headunit.

I guess I'll try it again. Definitely curious if you've had success though.
edit: Sorry dude, I didn't pay attention to the file download that they supplied. (and I was just griping about other people's reading comprehension. Doh!)

There are 13 channels on the front and 13 on the rear. There are also other controls that boost the volume of different zones as well as positioning of the sound. They've got more sound controls than you can imagine.
does anyone know how to make the switch on the headunit pop up the trunk. I think the duke did that. That would be really nifty. Also does everyone drill their brackets so that the headunit sits a littleback more. I didnt have a problem until everyone started talking about it. LOL.
Ok here is the diagram for wiring up the DDX812 or DNX8120 to pop the rear hatch from the headunit. First of all you need a basic Bosch type relay. You can purchase these at any auto parts store or you can even go to a stereo shop and they will sell you one. Should not be more than 5 bucks. You can either get the 5 prong or the four prong since you will only by using only four prongs. Prong 87a will not be used. The diagram should be easy enough to understand, but I will break it down anyways. The wire coming from the head unit(marked relay 1 or relay 2, does not matter which one) will connect to prong 86. Prong 85 and 30 goes hooked up to a solid ground. Prong 87 goes to the hatch wire. This wire is located in the BCM which is in the drivers kick. It is a pink wire on the harness and is labeled as pin 30. This vehicle information is for a 2005 which is the year I have. This may or may not be the same location for other years. I know for a fact the 2003 used another color, but it also was located in the BCM at the drivers kick. One more thing you must make sure the wire you are using from the headunit is set up for pulse, not latched or timed. Hope this helps most of you. On another note, this is not limited to poping the hatch. The head unit can trigger neon lights, roll windows up or down, activate motorized amp rack, turn on fog lights you can even use it to activate a garage door. Just understand how you wire up the relay is different for every application.

TreeFiddyZee:
I have not done this myself, but have a friend that did it successfully. I have also read several posts on the net regarding this. Some people have been reporting issues with the resolution/proportion of the image that you are trying to upload.
Crutchfield has the optimal resolution set as 480x243, but others are recommending 480x270 (saying it fills up the screen better).

I got mine yesterday and did the instal. Everything went fine but when I hit a bump the unit shuts off and restarts. I have it narrowed down to either the power (yellow), grounds (black), or the antenna (some reson the unit doesn't turn on with out that plugged in, which I found out last night.) Is there anything else to check?
