my friend gave me a polk/momo 10" sub (dont know what kind, not really an audio person), but said it has a blown coil pack/coil? does anybody know if this is fixable, and if so, how much?

fixable by a professional, but not by you, but honestly, unless it still underwarranty, for a sub in that price range, you are much better off getting a new one than sending it off for repairs, the repair cost may rival the cost of a brand new sub that has similar performance characteristics

its a blown voice coil, not a coilpack, that would be something on your car hehe

 

not worth fixing
