Ah nvm, a 4.3" is on the big side of gps systems. It just looks small in the pictures.

 

^^ That's true for portable devices, but (4.3" diagonal size) looks very small when comparing to "fixed" 7" diagonal LCDs.

First what not to do
- Think you can use a windshield mount. The glare is just too bad with the Z's rake

Actually I use my Garmin with the windshield mount, not a problem, and have it hard wired, with the wire coming out through the mirror mount.
But that is an Excellent Job you did there. If you were near here I would be visiting you myself to get a close up view. Very nicely done.

Windshield mounts are illegal in some States (Minnesota is one State where "Smokey" and "local-law" issues a ticket for this).
