Default PLEASE help me choose stereo system. (Not for a Z)

Hi guys, I have a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 single cab I am looking to put a system in it. I have NO CLUE when it comes to audio systems but this is what I have so far.

HU: JVC http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...KDHDR1&tp=5684

Componet System: Polkaudio http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...MMC6500&tp=106

Subwoofers: Polkaudio (2 subs) http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...7MM2104&tp=111

Sub enclosure: Q-Logic Dual http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...H6510DS&tp=127

AMP: UNKNOWN!!

Okay, I have no idea as to what amp I need to buy or how many. (Please help)

I don't have access to my truck right now so, do you guys think that sub box will fit behind my single cab seats?

I am going to have it professionally installed, where would they find room to install my AMPs in a single cab?

Thanks for the help.

You need to end up with three channels. Left and right for the components up front, and a mono channel for the subs. No one makes three channel amps. (that I know of, if you found one, it would be really unusual). So you can either get two amps, one two channel and one mono. Or you can get a five channel amp and bridge the 4 channels into two. To do this with 4 ohm component front speakers, the amp needs to be 2 ohm stable.

I think the 5 channel option is best for your case since it will be cheaper and easier to install, and it should save space. You could probably put the amp under one of the seats.

someone probably makes sub box specifically for your truck. A quick google search turned up this:

Probably under one of the seats. Depending on how much space was left, you might be able to attach it to the box somewhere.

on each Item? Umm I can't really give a clear answer on that because I really have no idea on how much stuff costs, I am hoping to spend $1,000 total but willing to increase that a bit if need be.

hmm...how are you going to fit that box bheind hte seat of your truck? those subs are also not hte best for single cab pick ups...

what ideally you want is small box flat subs, and then you can do say two of the 10s and a multichannel amp in a long rack back there. thats how i would do it.

i havent checked out the newest gm singlecabs, but most of them, you will not be able to do a correct box fors oemthing normal sized like the polks...

where in cali are you?

if you dont mind saying this, if i were you, since you got it from cructhfield, i would return everyhing, except maybe the headunit,t hough i think you can do better even in that department...

and then come ask me, for similar price i can probably get you stuff that sounds a lot better overall and have stuff that acutally fits your truck

if intrested, just PM me

I live about 30 miles from Bakersfield in central cali. Oh and I have not bought anything yet, sorry if my wording was misleading, that was just me looking around the site making my newb selections, the whole stereo system thing is more complicated than I thought lol.
