Hello! Has anyone tried the Axxess Digital interface module (XIA-I01) with the 2003 350Z Bose system? I know that it will work but I cant find any info on if it displays song names, etc on the factory radio display area. There is actually a thread that shows that the display works but that is a 2007. I have 2003 model. I cant find any info on this. Help please

 

Factory stereo doesn't display text. Beware of the eBay add telling you otherwise. You might call the manufacturer to make sure. They are pretty vague on their online descriptions.

So you have a 2003 Z and this iPod interface and it doesnt display text?

 

I just called the manufacturer. He said, if the factory radio is satalite ready, it will display the song info, artist info, etc. Is 2003 bose radio satalite ready?

 

I've actually got an '05, but I'm pretty sure they are the same radios.
I looked at Metra's manual last night and it seemed like you could use the satellite setup.
If you have the 6disc Bose then it should be SAT capable.

 

Thanks for the info man! I am pretty sure it will work too. I will be able to see the song names and everything so I can tuck away my iPod finally! And it is only 30 bucks more than the PAC-NIS11 interface. Yay!

Did the Axxess Digital interface module (XIA-I01) work for you with the 2003 350Z Bose system? Everywhere I look it says that both the Axxess system and the USA-Spec PA11-NIS only work on the 2004 and up that have SAT radio capability.

 

dang i wish i had the stock bose... would this work for the base model no bose?

 

I've done some more searching and it looks like the Axxess XIA-I01 won't display song text on the 2003 bose since it isn't satellite ready. If that's the case, does anyone know what the difference in function would be between the Axxess XIA-I01 and the USA-Spec PA11-NIS (assuming that they both work on the 2003 bose)?
