Bumping your own thread after 19 minutes?

You will probably have to drill a hole through the plastic and ground inside the cubby. Or you can route the ground through the back of the cubby into the hatch area and ground it to the child seat anchor bolt.

Remind me not to get you to do my install..

I haven't done my install yet so im not familiar with the good locations on the Z. Just make sure you sand it down to bare metal where ever you do.

^lol my system was awesome! I know how to hook up something, i think if you have to ask a how to ground/where to ground then you shouldnt be hooking up this yourself? A ground is a ground? No? it's either grounded or not correct

The best thing to do in the glove box is to ground it to your gun, that is what all the real men do.

Hmm, yeah I drilled a hole in the plastic piece in the glove box and routed the wires through it...the ground is attached to some huge bolt on the body that I found by looking around in there with the flashlight :-D Sure hope that was an OK spot :-D With the carpet piece back in place and the amp turned the right way you can't see the wires at all...love it!

my rule is find the thickest metal, closest to the amp then grind down to bare metal. the shorter the ground lead, the better. if you can get to chassis to ground, that would be the best.

sorry to bring up a somewhat old topic, but I don't want to start another thread.

I am in the middle of tapping into my fusebox inside my 04' Z to hardwire my Escort. What's the best grounding spot? I looked everywhere near the pedals, and can't really find a good place.

Any ideas?
