So I have had the Z PC for quite a while now and have had a few minor bugs that I have had to work out. I finally decided enough was enough so I spent a little time to fix all of the issues. Here they are and what needed to be done:
1) the Xenarc screen slipped a little south on the original install so it need to be removed and remounted. When the screen was out I also removed the plastic piece in front of the screen to help reduce glare and it seems to have helped a bit. And I also changed the power in connection for the screen from the Constant On to the Accesory On so it will power off when the car is turned off. (I also did #2 at this time as well)
2) slight whine (engine noise) in the speakers so I added a couple of more grounds and a new (higher end) FM modulator to fix this problem. (I did it the same time I remounted the Xenarc)
3) problems with the audio (not counting the whine) - this system has so many places to adjust the audio! the computer has audio outputs, windows 2k has audio outputs, windows media player 9 has audio outputs, windvd platinum has audio outputs and of course the head unit/amps drive the sound. I had to tweek all of these audio outputs to different levels to get the "optimum" sound performance out of the stereo. Now it still is the "factory" bose premium but it sounds MUCH better than the radio and even the CD player now. Better bass and higher high end. Overall makes the stereo "enjoyable!"
4) Standby issue / power supply timer shutoff - If you get the standby to function properly the computer will shut off (actually go into standby) when you shut off the car and it will come on and be ready to play within 6-8 seconds after starting the car. With this function the power supply jumper does not need to be on so the computer will shut down (power off) within 15 seconds of turning off the car. This seems to be the perfect setting. Car on - PC on (6-8 seconds) Car off - PC off within 15 seconds of turning off the car.
After all these tweeks my system is now functioning FLAWLESSLY! It looks and sounds excellent and is a great addition for any Z lover.
So to all you other Z-PC owners, have you experienced any or all of the above issues while "fine tuning" your Z PC? What's your opinion?

the only issue I'm running into for me to finish installing is not enough power for my usb hubs. I pretty much have 6 out of 8 ports used up (wifi, camera, mic, audio, touchscreen and gps) And I plan to add more later.
Oh and that glare from the screen too. think its too late to take it off, don't want to risk cracking the touchscreen.
And also, have to finish my face plate for it, have the pc worked out to fill the cubby slot, using the stock metal bracket in there to hold the pc (and if a thief can steal it, he deserve it cause that sucker ain't coming out) and the cubby door fits on the face plate to hide it. Works just like the regular cubby, push in door open, push up to close.

Are you talking about the blue film on the outside of the touchscreen or the touchscreen itself causing the glare?

Not the blue film that you peel off but a thin plastic cover that comes with the Xenarc. You can take it off or leave it on. I never did use mine due to glare complaints of other users. It isn't the touchscreen though.
