Illumination toggle switch...

Default Illumination toggle switch...

Say i want to watch a movie at night with my GF... and the screen is too bright but i dont want to have to turn on my lights to get the screen to dim...
can i hook a toggle switch up to the Illumination wire and be able to toggle it off and on like that??

i would say take her in the house and watch it on a tv and a dvd player

i'm assuming you're talking about an in-dash, if so......what in-dash did you buy that doesn't have brightness/contrast settings?

could easily hook that up if you really wanted to use a switch... just got to find out what the signal looks like on that wire. If you dont want to run the headlights, why not just turn on the parking lights? Or as previously mentioned just go in and adjust manually.
