Default glove box removal?

hey, i realize that i have asked a lot of questions over the last few days, and they are mostly very noobish.

well, i am almost finished installing my D3, and am in the process of running the ipod cable through to the glove box. my only question is regarding the removal of this box.

http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/console_removal/

i found this article, but it is on a 2003, and i have an 06. i was wondering if anyone had any input as to the differences...(eg. the screw in the ashtray?) thanks a lot for the help!

I have an '07, I think it should be similar to your '06.

There were only 4 screws holding my center console down, two in the rear (which you can see), and two up front (must remove the lower console there to get to them).

Then unplug one wire (you will see the connector when you remove the lower console), and you're good to go.

what is the best method for drilling a hole into the glove box? its pretty thin plastic, so a drill might break it (and it needs about an inch wide hole) any suggestions???

thanks!

I doubt it will break it, just go slow.

I usually use a step drill bit when I am drilling through plastic to run an iPod cable. You should be alright.
