Exclamation Radar Install

i got some questions about the installation..i got a passport 8500 and im using a phone cord and i made the cord go all the way to the fuse box and i have the inline fuse holder...but now there's a black red green and yellow wire inside the phone cord..which do i use and if i use two wires do i connect both to the inline fuse holder?...i got confused on that and i didnt wanna mess anything up..

be careful here.

phone cords do not "cross wires".. meaning one end of the phone cord will be like this:

black
red
green
yellow

and the other end will be like this:

yellow
green
red
black

so it depends on which end you plugged into the passport.

If you look at the cord that comes with the unit, you can get the right color scheme. The RED is positive and the GREEN is negative.

Just make sure you have the same side plugging into the unit or this will be opposite.

where do the red and green connect 2...i have the inline fuse holder so do both wires coneect on the same one end?

i havnt seen the fuse holder you are speaking of.. but only the red (or positive + one) needs to be fused. the other can just connect to chassis (ground -)
