so my gf wants to get a new stereo in her 03 Toyota 4runner with JBL speakers. so of course what do i do? go find the 4runner equivalent of my350z. I am looking at the website and i noticed how often i was sifting threw it and searching. i then realized i was so scared of some one screaming "GO SEARCH" i spent like 2 hours reading 4 year old posts. so because of you guys i got my answer probably faster then if i just asked in a post. so Thanks!

and what i found out is because it powers 10 (yes 10!) speakers the factory amp needs this like 100$ little thing so the amp gets a signal from new stereo + another 50$ thing so the steering wheel controls work....and this is all so she can plug her Ipod into her stereo and not use the Fm modulator any more...

It's representing how ridiculous the rules are here sometimes and how people are afraid to ask questions cause everyone and there mother will jump on them if it happened to be posted 5 years ago and god forbid they couldn't find it in the million threads that pop up about random **** that has been said over the years.

sometimes i'm afraid to ask Questions. When i was in this forum at first time, i posted something everyones like whaattaa S**pid Q.
honestly it was really hurt for Newb's(me) feeling. ( But when i looked up my history of posts, yes it was stup** Questions...)
