12k seems a little high but not out of the question. the way i see it from a dealership perspective the car comes in and says its been damaged from cc. off the bat the car is all customer pay no warranty. now assuming they fried the harness that means that the car will have to get a full body harness. i work at a land rover dealer and body harnesses can cost up to about 5k and up CRAZY! plus all the labor to remove all the interior and whatever else. i don't know how that honda dealer operates but at ours when its customer pay we double book time so say the harness pays 10hrs book time we would sell it for 20hrs @150per hour thats 3k just for labor. so roughly about 8 to 10k assuming the harness was that much.
