My last deal went south after the guy sold it the day before he was suppose to sell me a JL audio stealthbox and amp./ So now I need to get a new setup.

I am pretty sure the Zenclosures will be the box, but what do you guys recommend for subs, and amp to power them? I will push them with my Alpine xda-001 receiver.

I just got the Z enclosure's box its great. I got a pair of P3D4 Rockford Fosgate for 200 bucks.

Both seem to be great recommendations. Elemental Designs I have heard to be a very good brand. And for $525 for the whole setup, box, subs and amp that is a hell of a deal.

Any other recommendations?

PS, I like to listen to all types of music and just want some good, bass, tight too if possible.

 

What he said. Call them on the phone and they will give you a 15% package discount -- you can also get all your wiring there too.

 

If you are part of the Elemental Designs 'sponsored forum' or whatever, you can get some pretty good discounts I saw.
Sometimes during holidays it seems, they also go crazy on their prices. I remember they were selling their subwoofers for some crazy price like 35 bucks each or something. Just sign up for their newsletters also. They give great deals instead of just straight out buying.

 

eD subs are pretty tight and clean IMO, especially for the price. I have the 11Ov.2 and listen to just about everything and enjoy every minute of it.

I may be selling my O in the future to pick up an FI sub. I'd like to utilize my amps power because its overkill for my sub. I'd recommend those but two would be overkill and overbudget.

After owning my LAT500 for a few months now, I feel confident suggesting it for a setup. It is a fantastic sub with output you would not believe from such a setup. The following would work out great!!!
