I want to order a powered sub by Alpine or Pioneer, does anyone know a reputable site that has these products or can be special ordered? Also, will powered subs work on USA vehicles?
Thanks, any help would be appreciated!

Any models in particular you are looking for? And why the JDM market units? Why not the US marketed units?
In Japan, Pionner's car audio line is branded Carrozzeria. I searched really quickly on Google and didn't find what I was looking for. I know there was 1 or 2 websites that were selling Carrozzeria branded items in the US.
Alpine is......Alpine in Japan.
As for it working here in the US, there should be no reason it won't. The only JDM items that would have trouble operating would be source unit's radio tuners, but I think there are adapters of sorts that correct the radio frequency differences or something.

The only issue you will have using JDM stuff over here is that the radio stations in Japan go from I believe 60.0 to 90.0 on the FM side, so you won't really have any radio to speak of. As far as amps and speakers they are all the same. I had a buddy that bought a bunch of Carrozzeria stuff years ago when he was in Japan and brought it over here and besides the radio issue it was pretty badass. When I was over there in '94 I bought a high end Addzest (Clarion) din sized EQ/processor that didn't come out over here in the states till about '97. They always get the cool stuff a couple years ahead of us.

GO TO EBAY NOW. There are tons of HUs and EQs, but i am
not sure about speakers. Prices are super low b/c of the
radio issue mentioned above. There is also a 90% likelihood
the unit will contain an MD player as that format BLEW up
in Japan. Many Many Many great Double Din options which
just don't exist here. I always wanted the monotube Caro
unit with the tube visible up front...
