for those of you who've had this type of work done, how much should I expect to pay to get a farenheit 7" LCD and a dvd player installed (in one of the mailboxes) in my Z? including hooking up a power adapter and an FM modulator...

the one place around here that does this type of stuff won't give me ANY estimate until he sees the LCD and the dvd player.

 

labor is ussually 60$ an hour. depends how familiar with the car they are on how long it takes. Id expect 2-300$ maybe less, maybe more.

i've never done any car audio/video installs before but i might have to give it a shot.

 

parts cost should be pretty cheap, how difficult and timely the install takes depends on how its done, like where it gets mounted and all. some places are harder to access than others.

I am in the same boat with jordan. But my question, is where do you think, it will be easier to install a the dvd player? (the arm rest in the center console, or the glove box, behind the passagener seat? )
I am going to try to save me that 200 for install. Bestbuy gave me an estimate of 150 to install. An audio place by my house wants $60 an hour. Average time to install is 3hr or more.
