so... im gettin a jlw7 10" and im lookin at jl amps... i know alot of yall on here aint feelin tha w7 but im set on it. but as far as amps go, im either gettin the slash series 500w by 1 or the the 500 by one class d mono block. any suggestions? ill probably be gattin a new head unit in the near future, but for now, i got an alpine summin summin. let me know what up...

 

i have my 10w7 on a jl 500/1 which is perfect for the sub.

 

JL Audio actually designed the 10w7 woofers with the intent on them being run with the 500/1, so it would be a perfect setup. It even tells you how to perfectly dial in the 500/1 in the w7 manual. I personally think that w6's sound better in a small sealed box, but in a ported box the w7's are out of control!! I had 2 12w7's being run by 2 1000/1's and they took the power no problem. My problem was that I couldn't get enough power to the amps to keep them on at high volumes.
