Default Bypassing Safety to Play DVD's

I was reading up on how to play DVD's on my Pioneer HU while the car is moving and was wondering if there was a writeup on it with specific details. Some research leads me in the direction there is a wire coming off the back of the HU that can be grounded?? Or does the ebrake handle wire have to be grounded to trick the HU? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

wow, the mentality of some people just amazes me. that is why there is a safety installed on these things to prevent people from doing what you want to do.

The reason I ask is so I can access all the menus and settings on the HU...I'm not going to actually watch a movie. Thanks for your input though..

The older pre-2005 Pioneer AVICs could be fooled by idiots lifting the ground wire. Now the AVICs use the input from the inertial sensor to detect the motion of the car and disable the video playback. You need to pull the headend out and do some soldiering on the motherboard voiding the warranty to watch videos now.

First off you may want to start by posting what model head unit you actually have. Second your question has been asked a million times all across the net. So why dont you try

If that doesn't prove to be a good source for your excellent investigating skills, try http://avic411.com
