I just picked up a jl audio stealthbox and need advice for an amp. I'm not a audiophile but would like something that is considered good.

 

What is the RMS handling of the stealth box and how much power are you feeding the fronts? budget?

 

I just looked it up......it's 1000 rms at 4ohms (each 10w3v3 is a single 8phm coil - wired in prallel). But the 10w3v3 page says that the optimal power handling per sub is 300rms watts.....so you need an amp that will do 600 rms watts at 4ohms.

For the money, I would get a Boston GT28 and bridge it mono.

budget is flexible, I prefer a multi channel amp but am open to suggestions. I want something mid-high in quality but do not want to spend more than 500 on an amp. i will like to buy a used amp also.

I'm currently running an alpine 9855 headunit but am looking at a kenwood 8120 or an pioneer avic d3

I'm also swapping out my stock speakers front and back also.
