This may be a dumb question but... Does the stock Bose H.U. have RCA outs? I'd like to keep the stock look, and avoid a step-down converter.

 

no it does not

 

you can still keep the stock looks with high level inputs on your amps. just grab the signal from youre speakers and run it into the amp. thats how most do it.

 

You will need a special differential type of line level converter to use the Bose HU with an aftermarket amp. It has special outputs that are not speaker level and not line level either, hence the need for the special converter.
