I put my Pioneer Avic Z1 in the z the other day and for about 2 days i thought it was working fine. I was just listening to the radio and songs I had saved on the HDD. Anyhow yesterday I went to put a cd in and realized that it would atempt to open but then hit the top of the little plastic metra kit.....does the metra kit have an up side and a downside? If so I did not realize this or do I have to shave a little off the metra kit? It sat in there so nicely too....

I just don't feal like taking it all out again as it was a PITA to put all back in with all the wires for the Z1 lol

ANy input from those with Z1 or with double dins with similar issues would help...thanks!

 

You don't have to take apart the unit to fix the dash kit.

There's a difference in kits, 03-05/06+. Make sure you have the correct one.
