Default New here, need a little guidance

Hello,

I have an 04 touring 350z that I just bought without the navigation system. Well I need something to put there and the best thing I have found is the Pioneer AVIC-Z1. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...CLE%20DYNAMICS

Will that fit there? Also, is there any pictures of anyone putting that in there. Money is not a problem. Also, is there a better one than this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

No the Z1 is not the best nav out there in a double din screen. If you are looking for the best navigation Alpine makes the Nven872A that links up with any one of there indash screens that is leaps and bounds better than the pioneer. If you do the IVAW200 and the NVEN872A you will be much more satisfied from a navigation standpoint and you can still do ipod fullspeed, bluetooth, xm, sirius, do a awesome processor for a killer soundsetup.

Default Avic-z1

I spend several weeks researching and comparing NAV system/DVD units and i went with the AVIC-Z1, i got it last week for $1450 Shipped and it's great. I also got a few add-ons as the XM tuner, Bluetooth, the PAC SWx to keep original Wheel controls.

I think the Avic is the a great unit.

The alpine navigation goes 3-d showing you buildings and such. Drove around with the owner of one of the audio shops in town. When you are on the strip the buildings on the screen become more #'d so you can see where you are in standpoint to the actual building. Something to be mentioned though... is that that navigation piece to go to the alpine is almost 1500 LoL. Not Including the 1200 your gonna spend on a w200/iva-D300

Ok, yes the alpine one is probably a bit expensive for me. I am willing to spend about $2000.

What is the best unit for around $2000. I have done research and the Z1 seems to be the best, but the reviews are only decent. Is there any other one that could be better for that price? Thanks.

It needs to have DVD,Nav capabilities.

Do you have the ability to run navigation on your secondary screen and the regular audio controls on the actual Z1 unit?

You couldn't on the D1 and I hated that.
