Default Avic D3...check. second screen?

I did some searching and it seems like most people get the farenheit/power acoustik units to go in the upper cubby. I called the place below and they don't anything. They only sell these products.

Do I just get the regular power acoustik, or touchscreen one? What about those other units on that page? Most of them are the same specs. Please help me out so I can order this thing.

My goal is to run video up top while playing navi on my bottom Avic D3. And because its just cool to have two screens My installer is only going to charge me $80 to put it in so why not.

here is the link

im running the same thing...but from what I understood you cannot have a dvd running on the second screen with the navi running on the d3. I believe the z2 is the current (pioneer) unit that can only do it. When you play a dvd, it will just be mirrored to the second screen.

If you find anything different, please let me know.

Im running the standard farenheit screen. I believe the power acoustik screen is exactly the same but just a different brand. You also might want to take a look at www.avic411.com. They have alot of useful information.

I’m not sure I understand your question. If I have it right, you want to install a LCD screen in the upper/forward cubby and have it display imaging from your Pioneer AVIC.

You can do this. It isn’t necessary to place a touchscreen monitor in this position since your AVIC does not support a remote touchscreen monitor.

Your solution is installing a LCD monitor in the upper/forward cubby, and connecting this one of the A/V outputs on your AVIC device.

Your best choices for inexpensive monitors that deliver a great image:

Farenheit T-7000MHR
Power Acoustik PT-700MHR
NESA Vision NSM-7005 7" MONITOR

These three are the same LCD monitor. The only difference is the brand name.

Spike, that helps alot, but if I can't send a dvd/music video up top and navi on my avic at the same time, it might not be worth it. It sounds like I can only mirror image a dvd/music video. I thought different. My goal was to have dvd up top for passenger and navi for me on bottom.

^^ OK... I'm finally getting what you ask about.

For this you need the Kenwood KOS system.
